FAQ´s (Frequently asked questions)

 

1. How can I look for the right room?

Please enter your planned day of arrival and departure and the number of persons. Then click "Search" and you will be shown all available accommodation.You can also narrow down the search results. To do this, enter further search criteria like district, type of accommodation or distances, for example.

2. How do I book my accommodation through B & B Cologne?

Select an object and click "Send enquiry/reservation". Then fill out the form with your details and send it to us by clicking on "Done". You will then receive a confirmation of reservation with the exact address as well as the telephone number of the hotel or private host.

3. Is my reservation through B & B Cologne binding?

Yes! When making a reservation, an accommodation agreement is concluded between you and the hotel of private host and the rooms are reserved for you. A confirmation of reservation will follow promptly.

4. How do I pay for the rooms?

Payment is divided into an advance payment and a final payment. The advance payment that becomes due at the time of booking amounts to a maximum of 30% of the total amount (see confirmation of reservation) and can be paid by bank transfer, Visa-, American Express- or Mastercard. For this purpose, we require (gladly by fax) the type of card, card number, validity month/year and holder (as printed on the card).

Should your reservation be made les than 14 days before arrival, payment can only be effected per credit card.

The final payment is made to the service provider on site. Many hotels accept EC or credit cards. Private hosts on the other hand are paid in cash immediately on arrival.

6. Can I cancel booked accommodation?

Yes, by email, fax or post stating your reservation number. In the case of cancellations or no-show, the following costs become due: 80% to 100% of the total amount (see our General Terms of Business).

7. What must I pay attention to concerning arrival?

The standard times of arrival are:

By 6 p.m. at hotels
between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at private hosts

Should it not be possible for you to arrive at the above-mentioned times,
please clarify this with the hotel or private host in advance.

8. Do I get a door key from private hosts?

Yes, you will get a key in return for a deposit of €50.00. On handing back the key, the deposit will be returned.

9. When do I have to vacate the room by?


Rooms must be vacated by 10 a.m.

10. Is there other services provided by private hosts?

The private hosts are not obliged to provide any additional services like half- or full-board, laundry service, transfer, secretarial tasks, providing you with your own fax machine, telephone, computer or own kitchen. Should the private host offer such services, then they are subject to a charge. The host will inform you of the costs.
